Article by Jessica Page of The West Australian really highlighted the pressure community legal services and other frontline services are under at this time. Community legal services are having to turn away more people in need than ever.
This state election, we need more investment so we can be there for WA families. From the article:
‘Marie* urged anyone facing a wait list to hold onto hope.
“Keep knocking . . . keep going to family court and keep asking for help, just don’t give up,” she said.
Ms McKinney certainly hasn’t given up hope yet.
“I’m feeling hopeful the Cook Government will do the right thing in the lead up to the election,” she said.’
