As the peak body for community legal centres, we work to strengthen and support the community legal services sector in a number of ways. 

We bring members together to build collaboration and a strong sector voice for access to justice through our advocacy.

Services for members

We support our members in a range of ways to enhance sector sustainability, leadership, collaboration and quality community legal services.

This includes:

  • Data and impact support 
  • Specialist advice on legal practice issues. 
  • Member events to encourage peer connection, and training including Continuing Professional Development (CPD). 
  • Bringing members together to support collaboration, collective peer support, and a united voice 
  • Access to programs that enhance quality and reduce costs, including a national insurance scheme and Employee Assistance program. 
  • Enhancing quality services through Accreditation.

CLWA Projects

We support members with a range of projects. Projects currently focus on Lived Experience and Sector Sustainability.  

A new project to address workforce challenges will be launched soon.
