Sussex Street delivers social and legal services throughout WA in order to increase access to and equity in justice, promote legal education and meet the changing and complex needs of the community.

Eligibility

  • People who are dependent upon programme/service delivery model
  • Focus on low income, pension recipients and disadvantaged community members
  • People with disability for disability advocacy service
  • Primarily people located in the metropolitan Perth south east region (NB: some programs are statewide)

Services

  • Legal advice, information, and referral services
  • Family Law – children and property
  • Civil law – issues affecting you as a private individual
  • Minor criminal law – including minor traffic offences
  • Disability Discrimination
  • Duty Lawyer Service – assistance at the Perth Magistrate Court
  • Restraining order assistance to respondents (FRVOs and VROs)
  • Shuttle Conferencing – advice and representation for respondents resolving Family Violence Restraining Orders (FVROs)
