Eligibility
- AFLS provides both free specialist legal assistance and non-legal support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing, or at risk of, family violence and sexual assault.
- Through a holistic service delivery model, which includes prevention and education initiatives, aimed at supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to live free from family and domestic violence and sexual assault.

- Assistance with Family Law in relation to child matters
- Advice and representation in relation to Child Protection & Family Support
- Lodgement and assistance with Family Violence Restraining Orders
- Assistance with Criminal Injuries Compensation in relation to family violence and sexual abuse
- Client support in relation to family violence and sexual abuse
- Court representation on family violence and sexual assault matters
- Advocacy and assistance with completion and lodgement of legal documents
- Information on some general law matters
- Community awareness groups/development
- Community legal education
- Outreach to regional towns and communities
