Our Vision
Our vision is for a fair WA, where everyone has access to justice.
We are working to represent and support the community legal services sector, increase access to justice and campaign for better, fairer laws in WA.
Our Team
Meet our CLWA team in Perth and our Board Members from across WA.
Our Members
CLWA represents our 26 members, who are community legal centres and family violence prevention legal services in WA.
Our History
Community legal centres have been working in Western Australia for more than 40 years to provide free legal help to the community, and to advance human rights and social justice.
The peak body for centres, now Community Legal WA, was formed in 1990 to represent and support members and increase access to justice.
We have 23 members who are community legal centres, 3 members who are Family Violence Prevention Legal Services (FVPLS) and 3 Associate members – Law Access, Knowmore and Arts Law. We are part of a national network and movement of community legal centres through membership of Community Legal Centres Australia.
