The Welfare Rights & Advocacy Service aims to eliminate disadvantage, promote social justice and human rights by assisting people to realise their rights to income and housing through client focused ethical practice, collaboration and community engagement.

Eligibility

People living in WA with an issue relating to:

  • Centrelink;
  • Family Assistance Office;
  • Residential Tenancy (including private and public housing); or
  • Social Security Prosecution

Priority for assistance is directed to those who have low or no income or are at a threat of loss of income or loss of tenancy.

Please note:
An initial phone contact prior to appointment may be required where there is an intake assessment.
The agency does not provide ongoing casework assistance in matters which do not have legal merit.

  • Tenancy Assistance – does not provide assistance to landlords or tenant against tenant disputes.
