Eligibility

  • Low income and disadvantaged community members
  • People located in the Southwest Region, including:
    • Bunbury and nearby towns, Bridgetown, Busselton, Margaret River, Collie, Harvey, and Manjimup, Narrogin (only by phone)
  • Telephone or in person self-referral available for appointments.
  • Receives government and non-government referrals.

Services

  • Free preliminary legal advice on range of general matters to eligible community members:
    • Family law (incl. parenting arrangements, divorce and property settlement)
    • Child support and maintenance
    • Restraining orders
    • Criminal injuries compensation
    • Tenancy matters (tenants only)
    • Neighbourhood issues
  • Ongoing legal support and casework provided at discretion of lawyer
  • Legal Information and Referrals
  • Community Legal Education sessions in a range of matters including family law, restraining orders, advanced planning and criminal injuries compensation
  • Duty Lawyer service in Family Court and Magistrates Court
  • Domestic violence wraparound service

We offer our services from our main office in Bunbury and through our outreach locations at Busselton, Bridgetown, Collie, Harvey, Margaret River and Manjimup.
